I tried it with 3 different light configurations and got the same result

I passed the Configuration test, I don't have this problem when I use an Xbox 360 Kinect. not sure what the problem is.

Please help.

Looks strange indeed. Did yoy try to point the sensor in other directions? Any difference?
So far a couple of options came to my mind:
  • The sensor is defective.
  • There are string IR sources in the room not connected with light (some heating?).
