Oh ok, I wasn't following, I thought you tried the working card in the render box, or one of them at least already.

Oh, I see where you're getting at. Yeah, I couldn't test the curretly working USB cards from my workstation in the render boxes because the render boxes have a low-profile form factor. I've been trying to keep cost down by using the least expensive USB 3.0 cards for the render boxes but that's doesn't seem to be working out. This time I'll be trying out a low-profile card that's been reported to work reliably with Kinect One by other users. If that doesn't work, then I'll be reasonably certain it's the motherboard. Since I'm not planning to upgrade these boxes further, that will be the end of that path.

I don't know if you have the room in the factory cabinet, but you can plug the USB 3 card into one of the x8 or x4 slots also, not sure if you have those on the render boxes.

Usually the PSI-e x1 slots are in the worst places in factory cabinets and usually only 1.

Did't know if you have tried that yet.
