As for MiJ, there is a local mode patch for it, which removes necessity to access MiJ server. I've downloaded it from this link
http://www.mediafire.com/file/1d5zfnibc ... 1+rev3.rarand it seems to work (run DS3_Tool_Local.exe). I did not test it thoroughly though.
I tried this, uninstalled existing drivers from an Asus 211 adapter, (had to leave plugged in, because MS tried to reinstall native drivers if I didn't), then tried to load MIJ drivers and received a fail error, I did again do the work around to disable driver signatures also.
The adapter and Move appeared in the list to load to, but couldn't load the drivers, error said "Cannot find file C:/Users/MyDesktop/drivers/MijXinput.inf.... not the actual path it stated, but you understand what I mean.
I looked for the folder or file in the downloaded local folder supplied, but there is no drivers file or MijXinput.inf
Not sure what the issue is, I used same method as before that installed the MiJ drivers ok before, I don't have another BT model compatible with MIJ, the IOGear 521 I have isn't compatible, so maybe others can try this and see if it will work, or maybe you have to use 2 different models of BT adapter for it to work?
UPDATE:
OK, I found I had to re-download the MiJ zip from the iPi Docs link, install it, then copy the drivers folder out of there to the same location as the bypass download for it to be able to access those same drivers and it worked!
Then I uninstalled the original "bad" MiJ program and it remained able to work again from just the bypass downloaded files.
Maybe this will help Adam, the original poster of this thread to get his controllers connecting as before again on Win 8, or anyone else that needs MiJ, or more than 4 Moves connected to one computer.
