Are you referring to externally recorded HD video, recorded outside of iPi Studio and along with the performance? This is possible also if cameras are set up correctly, but... for iPi itself using PS Eyes, or Kinect 2 @ 1080p...
It's not included in the animation export file, but you can separately/individually export single camera views of just the performer video with or without first hiding the iPi actor and bones, or overlay an imported bone set just using the performer, to later match better bone lengths of the actual performer.
It works as a type of screen recorder for just the iPi video plane video, so you can switch cameras while exporting, but for use as an animation motion match editing video in other 3D packages, you would want only 2 angles of single views, (head-on and/or direct 90 degree), and then have to set up the cameras in a 3D package to realign the video planes to the animation through additional scene cameras, it can not be applied as only a video viewport background, the scaling will never match correctly.
If not familiar with this process, then maybe not what you want to get into, but it does and will work for this basic process, I have accomplished it, but to reset up the entire iPi scene cameras in another 3D package would be hard, if not impossible, but not really needed for animation editing purposes anyway.
Video exported as AVI and is a feature in the File Tab of iPi Studio 3, some 3D packages may require converting video to image sequence first before use.
