If you get a warning from your anti virus software stating iPi Recorder v4 may have a virus, this is a false positive, I sent it into Avast deep scan for confirmation and they confirmed "No Virus" and should add it to their whitelist, I also run Glasswire which scans all opened programs through Virus Total with a 0 of 67 result.

Anyone can do the same with different anti virus software as well, or run it through Virus Total themselves here:

I believe iPiSoft can be trusted as a developer, but Virus Total can be beat as a checker for malicious software, so be aware of what software you allow to run, if questionable.

That is also why I sent it through Avast deep scan, for checking, as well as to have it removed as a false positive program.

I'm getting the same issue too. AVG (The anti-virus software that I use) always scans the iPiSoft program installers to see if there's any viruses or malware! And sometimes. It'll be sent to interrogation for review. I got one notification that one of the iPi recorder installer (Or iPi mocap studio, idk) is a virus & removed it from my file! -_-

Some anti virus program do quarantine files, have you checked there to release it back? Or you mean it took the whole program and deleted it? Some do that too.

iPi has gotten false positives before on other versions, not sure why it picks on some versions and not others though, but Avast came back as clean and usually does.

You can set it as an exception and try again I guess.
