While tracking forward to produce a new animation, my iPi Mocap Studio [PRO] has been crashing.

I have a NVIDIA graphics card on my PC and have already adjusted the settings according to the NVIDIA section of the following documentation on iPi Docs: http://docs.ipisoft.com/Maximizing_GPU_ ... cap_Studio

Please suggest any solutions you can come up with. It would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I am going to go ahead and copy the entire error message below:

Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers?

I actually did have a driver that needed to be installed. I will test it and see if it is fixed. Thank you for the reminder.

It happens more frequently now. Any advice?

The crash happens in a code related to the head tracking. Try to disable this feature. Will the issue persist?

Thanks for your reply!

Head tracking has already been switched off when I received these crash notes, but you're correct that once it was switched on Mocap Studio crashed immediately (was much worse).

It just crashed while tracking resolution was on low too.

Concerning.

No problems in other software?
Probably your card is underpowered and this leads to issues under high load. Check all connection(s) of your card (PCIe slot, power etc), ensure they are firm.
Can you disable integrated Intel graphics? Probably there is some conflict between the two.

It does not crash when I use 'Old tracking algorithm' under 'Advanced Tracking Settings'.

Is this the same quality? Does it lower the accuracy? It seems to be very similar.

Hi,
yes, the quality and accuracy are the same.
Old algorithm uses GPU less intensively, so this may hint that there are some hardware issues under high GPU load.
There may be not enough power or card is overheating.
You can try using GPU-Z to monitor card temperature and compare workloads for different options.
