Hi,

Sorry for this problem. This is a bug. Your video actually gets recorded correctly (you can view it using VLC player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ) but iPi Studio cannot open it because DirectShow does not support video more then 2000 pixels wide. (4 videos at 640x480 side by side is 2560 pixels wide).

As a workaround, we recommend that you record at 320x240. Four cameras at 320x240 should result in better animation quality then three cameras at 640x480.

Another workaround is to use Sony PS3 Eye cameras in Raw Bayer mode (raw video does not have this limitation).

What about splitting up the video while recording to 2 files at 640x480? would it not be a better track in higher resolution mode?

I have an idea..what if you used 2 computers with 2 cameras each, and did 1280x720 as the 9000 cameras can do this resolution? would that not increase the tracking accuracy a bunch? and then in software your program can "sync" we could give it the "sync" frame via scrubbing the footage to a frame with a hand "clap" like a film production would do without slate??

better yet just do a quad video layout in your file. 2 video files across the top and 2 across the bottom...this should allow for nice 640x480 capture in a single file

Your suggestions are reasonable and in fact we are already working on these improvements.
For now, I recommend sticking to lower resolution. More cameras and higher frame rate is always better then higher resolution.
