'Hi Michael

I just downloaded the latest version of iPi Studio and have been very impressed with the improvements made - especially the increased speed of calibration for 4 cameras and the Jitter Removal facility.

Unfortunately, I have discovered what might be a bug when trying to import my SL_Avatar_Tpose.bvh character - which has always worked in the previous versions of the software. As soon as I import it, the software crashes. I have tried opening some of my older projects and I still crash.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Owain

This looks to be a bug. Can you please send me the problematic BVH file so that we could fix this problem? The BVH file can be 1 frame (only initial pose), that would be enough for debugging.

We reproduced this problem on a SecondLife / BVH file we downloaded from SecondLife site. Working on a fix.

Hi Michael

I just downloaded 1.0.0.104 this morning and am now confronted with the following error message when attempting to import the SL Avatar target character:

Cannot open file
'C\Users........\SL_Avatar_Tpose.bvh'.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any idea what's going on?

Cheers

Michael

Thank you for sorting this issue out so quickly.

May I take this opportunity to congratulate you all on the official release of the product - it is excellent! The information shared in the forums is also excellent.

I have even managed to track couples in a scene (individual passes for each actor) and track with props like chairs or skateboards being used by the actor. I am sure there are other users who have achieved this, but I wanted to celebrate the power and flexibility of the iPi Desktop Motion Capture software.

Although I am content with the current version, I look forward to the version that includes an algorithm to track the head, hands and feet positioning - I have a feeling that your talented team will achieve this goal sooner than later :-)

Best wishes

Owain
