480 gtx results results

for those that are wondering how fast the tracking is, im getting 2 to3 frames per second tracking for the 4 camera setup. :)

WOW! :O

That's awesome. On my system at home, which I believe has a Geforce 9600 GS, gets about 1 frame every 10 seconds, and I tested it on my computer at work, which has a GTX 250 GTX, and I got 1 frame every 2-3 seconds. I thought that was impressive, but it sounds like your GTX 480 just blew that away.

My new computer arrived today (for personal use, not at work,) and it has a GTX260. Not as powerful as the 480, but it should be many times better than what I have in my old home system, and better than what's in my computer at work. The new computer also has more available slots and I should be able to add two USB 3 cards, and see improvements in my capture framerate. (I wanted to add an SSD but I went over my intended budget just getting this computer, so that will have to wait a bit.) Very excited about this!

I'll post my benchmarks later this week. :)

1 usb3 with 2 interface
record 640*480 at 60f
2s/1f - 1.6s/1f

I try record 640*480 at 77f,
but compression buffer overflow
I used RamDisk ,but no use helpful
that means ssd have no helpful ? Greenlaw?

Wow, sounds good. Much better than the 1f/10s I was getting with my old computer and a 9600GS. Can't wait to get this new computer set up for my next tests.

I believe it was stated elsewhere in these forums that 77fps is not optimal for the PS3 cameras. You might try setting the rate back to 60fps.

SSD should be better than using a RAID even, though I imagine it depends on the quality of the SSD. I'm currently using a portable eSATA RAID, but I also have a new USB 3.0 drive I want to try. I'm still installing software (and removing bloatware) from this new computer, but hope to be ready later this week. Will post the results probably next weekend.

I just got a crazy good deal on 3x 465GTX's so it would be awesome if the next update supported multiple GPU's.... or can I specify which card to use?? I am fine with just rendering three scenes in three windows. Could that be an easy update for ipi? I can't post results yet because my generic 650W PSU is massively underpowered and am ordering my new 1200W PSU this weekend. I'm totally phsyced to do some rendering with these bad boys... and heat my house this winter. :P
