What camera to make a film for theaters? I've never made a movie before but I need a camera to make a film shot entirely in the woods in the daytime with no sound. I assume the camera would need to have HD right? I have the dream of the film someday being able to be shown at a big movie theater. Also what camera would be good for shooting in the daylight?
It appears as though you're talking about live-action filmmaking. I would suggest asking in the forums at
http://www.cinematography.comThere is a forum specifically about cameras. Be sure to mention how much money you want to spend on the camera. For low-budget films, you have a lot of options. Don't worry about whether the camera is used for movies shown in the theater. They can transfer from anything. I think "Blair Witch Project" used a 16mm film camera and a Hi-8 videotape camera.
