Hi, In the Wiki quick start Kinect page we can read:

Q: Can hands/fingers be tracked by iPi DMC?
A: No. Consumer cameras resolution is not enough for that.

Fingers can be easily animated, but for the hands capture, does it mean iPisoft team plans to work on a solution that could work with higher camera resolution/DIY HD Kinect camera?
Or would it be possible?

The problem is that the cost of cameras that would allow hand and finger tracking would be so high that it would make DMC at the same price of a high end system. The best solution is the capture hands separate in another program just as one would do for face capture. IPI says that they will work on face capture in the future but right now their is so much to be done with just DMC that it will be a long time before they get to it.

Thanks for your answer,
I understand for fingers, but as a hand is nearly the same size a foot, and as DMC is able to track feet I assumed with a HD camera things would be ok, not being a programmer at all, only a software user ^^
