You can use a custom character from within iPi via Collada or FBX, assuming you created a compatible rig for it. See the wiki entry on Motion Transfer and Custom Rigs for more information.

Greenlaw is absolutely right. The default 3D character model in iPiStudio is not customizable as it is optimized for use in video processing. But you can import any reasonable 3D character (File->Import Target Character).

I need to customize the manikin only relative the dimension of different segment not the aspect, before to do the tracking, is this what you mean? Is it possibly to read other CAD format like igs or wrml or other manikin like Jack or Ramsis?
Sorry to my bad english :-)

OK, I see. You need to adjust model appearance for tracking purposes.

Then please do not import a target character.

Please use the controls on Actor tab to customize actor height, body shape and clothes colors.

The most important parameters are actor height and colors.

In current version, there is no way to customize a beard or add long hair. You can just ignore a beard for now. In case of long hair, actor should (temporarily) change hairstyle to a ponytail.

Michael, many times I had problem with length of hands and legs during tracking process - do you plan to add this function in the future? I mean exactly to change the length of hands and legs bones according to actor body proportions.

Yes, agreed 200%!!! Sliders for relative length of arms, legs, torso as well as shoulder width would help immensely.

Yup, yup.

Its gonna be a must have at some point... the ability to change the proportional lengths of body aprts to better match the on stage actor. Leg/arm/torso length, shoulder and hip joint width.
