Hello everyone,
Can I use black trousers with black long-sleeve shirt rather then dark blue trousers? Simply full black solid suit. The fact is that I do not have suitable blue trousers, all of my jeans are not in solid color, also they are pretty light.

I may be wrong but I don't think that's a good idea. A completely black outfit could make it difficult to distinguish the arms from the torso.

This is why a long sleeved Green or Red shirt with a short sleeved Black T pulled over is recommended. The brightly colored sleeves maintain good contrast between the arms and the torso, and the Black T minimizes shadows cast on the torso by the arms.

Anyway, I have no suitable dark blue solid trousers, that is why I have to use those pants that you can see on the photos above. Are they suitable for good tracking?

Please help me as soon as it possible, I have to begin shootings tomorrow!

You can get good results with black jeans:

Red sleeves should be fine: http://s1.ipicture.ru/uploads/20110701/B7RaIN38.jpg

But it also depends on your environment (floor color, walls color). Black jeans can be a problem if you have gray or very dark floor.

Black jeans? OK, I have good ones, they are absolutely black, but is it safe to use black jeans with black T-shirt (of cause with red sleeves)? The color of torso and the color of legs are different in practically all of the cases.

Floor and walls are pretty light, blue, green and yellow (gym).

I agree with the red and black outfit; it's close to what I normally wear and I get great results. As Michael noted, it depends on the BG. I shoot on a small green screen stage so there is maximum contrast. My setup is on the extreme side though and not absolutely necessary for good results, but the point is that you should have good contrast in both color and value no matter where you shoot. If possible, avoid lighting that casts hard shadows.

Also, be careful that the pants are not too baggy and loose or too tight. A regular fit is fine. I also found that feet tracking is much better if pants don't hang past the ankles. If this gives you trouble, rolling the cuffs up a little should fix the problem.

That should work. FWIW, I wear blue jeans to help separate the upper body from legs but black pants should probably work just as well. I'm not sure how sensitive iPi Studio actually is about this separation; it probably helps but maybe only a little. One suggestion: you might want to roll the pants cuff up a little to give the legs a more uniform shape; right now you can see that the legs are very asymmetrical in shape. The way iPi works is that it creates a volume based on your shape and fits a rig into that volume from frame to frame, and if the volume is too 'loose', too 'tight', or oddly shaped, the tracking result may be less accurate. What you have is probably fine but I prefer to keep my data as clean as possible for tracking the best results.
