Hey folks, I've finally taken the plunge. I setup my Kinect and grabbed the 30-day trial of iPisoft to make sure everything works for me before diving in with my wallet. Almost everything has worked flawlessly and I'm able to see my character moving with the animation inside iPisoft Studio which is awesome.

My problem is when I try to export the animation to FBX I get this error,"Can not export "my file name". Only eEULER_XYZ rotation order is supported on export.". If I click 'export to Motionbuilder then select FBX it exports but that FBX doesn't work right in Unity. Any ideas on what I could be missing?

I'm using an Evolver model with the Game skeleton and grabbed a motion transfer profile for Evolver models off of iPisoft's wiki.

Hi Doug,

What does the hip bone say its connect to?

Also Can you convert your FBX to the most recent version of which I Think is 2011 FBX.

Let me know if I can take a look at your avatar to see if everythings working right for you.

Thanks Mr. Bones, I tried converting the fbx to the 2012 version using the Autodesk FBX converter. I'm still getting the same error. I've posted my fbx, my motion transfer profile and the Mocap file I made using iPisoft so you can check if the problem is in one or the other.

Hi Doug,

At Evolver,

Chose a different Skeleton, I Use Darwin.

I export facial bones and everything on High Resolution.

My target character from Evolver exports with no error from iPiSoft basic.

That seems to have been the issue. I grabbed a model with the Darwin Default bones and it exports just fine now. Happy I didn't buy many animations for those bones before finding iPisoft.

Something about the Evolver Game skeleton doesn't mesh well with iPisoft. Whenever I get more free time I might try out all the Evolver skeletons and see which work fine and which don't.

This restriction is removed in iPi Mocap Studio 2.0.0.134.
