I know what you are meaning, but yes, in order to smooth any jitter with any algorithm, whichever is used has to remove some data and smooth curve data, Webanimates' algorithm works well when adjusted properly.
The FireFox version of Webanimate works well, at a cost of $90 a year (deal right now) to purchase subscription, renewal at $180 yr, but it's not as good as the plugin for MoBu or Maya, but they are at substantially higher cost also, I just ran the trial on MoBu.
Webanimate is a good lower cost alternative to MoBu or Maya, better solver, I use it also, definitely recommend using it if you don't have MoBu or Maya.
I choose to run the iPi settings very low on JR and bump the TF on export, it doesn't take that long and why not start from a more smoothed animation prior to using Webanimate ACP? This minimal smoothing by iPi won't be that detectable to the eye in the overall animation anyway, only if you overlayed it on the actual video.
Agreed, too much JR in iPi will give bad results.
I use only PS Eye cams, so I can't really address the Kinects V1 or V2 with iPi, V1 didn't perform well enough for me and V2 with multiple computers needed isn't attractive to me either, others may like either ones.
I have used Webanimate on some pre-rigged custom characters and the hips rotations on hard bends and floor actions didn't give the expected effects or results with the mesh, and I could never get it to adjust properly, maybe it is something I wasn't doing right, but I couldn't.
Auto-rigged characters it works much better. The same happened in the plugin for MoBu, but you have more control.
General movements it works really well though.
I will post some videos soon using Webanimate without filtering in iPi, with some less active animations, this is where iPi does have some issues even after filtering, and show a side by side outcome, with iPi filtering first and without any.
I just upgraded to Win 10, so I wanna test both programs anyway on it.
Question:
I do have an issue where Win 10 won't allow me to connect my 3rd drive (backup drive) it locks up on the BIOS splash screen when I try, anyone else running more than 2 drives on Win 10 through the BIOS, or having this issue?
Can you post if you are and what I could do to correct this, I have tried several things, and posts in the Win 10 forums really don't addresses this accurately, but I will keep trying, I need this drive working and would like it inside the machine, not in an external box, but may have to go that route.
All worked fine on Win 7.
