Hello!

As to demo: we have published the following video (several weeks ago): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCu8KTrC4sc.

As to exact date: it depends. We still have some issues which involves research with unpredictable results. Also we don't decide yet about beta version: to publish or not to publish release candidate.

As to comparison with plugin for MB from brekel.com: our main advantage is higher robustness and accuracy and as a result more realistic and solid result animation. Also our decision is not limited by one 3d package. Meanwhile disadvantage is processing speed (offline, not real time). Note that this is only our observations and we hope you'll be able to make your own view as soon as we publish our new software.

This is really really good news!

I have test Brekel plugin for Motion Builder. It works very well, but the main problem is on the foot sliding. I hope that it can be solved completely with ipisoft kinect!

Do you have plan to use two camera kinect system? If it can be realized, that would be awesome! I think you must have algorithm for synchronizing more than one camera so that would be the first motion capture with more than one kinect.

Thank you.

So does this mean the motion capture will not be realtime through the Kinect? We will need to capture what the Kinect sees and then process offline like the older software setups?

"Meanwhile disadvantage is processing speed (offline, not real time)."

Thanks,

Hello Andrew !
On 22th of january you wrote: "...Right now we are in a hurry to release Kinect version in early February..." .
Right now it´s early February - when will it released?
Which Kinect-drivers will be used by iPiMoCap - OpenNI?
Kind Regards
Tezen

Next week we'll publish beta version.

Beta version will support only libusb-win32 drivers (compatible with OpenKinect). As soon as status of OpenNI drivers for Kinect will be clarified we'll add support for them.

Hello!

A couple days ago we have published version with Kinect support in
beta status. For more info about it see wiki-page:
http://ipisoft.com/en/wiki/index.php?title=Quick_Start_Guide_with_MS_Kinect_Sensor

We plan to release Express edition in a couple of weeks or in a month
- depending on results of beta testing.

Suggest you create a new forum for Kinect information and feedback. There are now several threads all with disparate Kinect information.

It would probably be tidier to have it all in one place for both developers and customers. :)
